Co-sponsored by the Automotive Lightweight Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Lightweight Alliance) and the China Society of Automotive Engineers, co-organized by China Automobile (Hunan) Base Development Co., Ltd. and the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Design and Manufacturing of Automotive Body (Hunan University), "2017 (11th) China Automotive Lightweight Technology Seminar" was held in Changsha, Hunan from September 4th to 6th.
The conference was divided into 1 main venue and 9 sub-venues. After the meeting, they visited the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Design and Manufacturing of Automobile Body of Hunan University and GAC Mitsubishi. As an annual event in the field of China's automotive lightweight technology, this conference brings together more than 30 domestic and foreign vehicle companies, as well as more than 300 units from domestic and foreign auto parts companies, material companies, scientific research institutes, government agencies, etc. 700 Several representatives and more than 20 domestic and foreign exhibitors such as Novelis (China) Aluminum Products Co., Ltd., Yunnan Aerospace Shenzhou Automobile Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yawei Chuangkeyuan Laser Equipment Co., Ltd., etc., the meeting was a complete success.
The main venue was hosted by Wang Dengfeng, a professor of Jilin University and director of the Technical Expert Committee of the Lightweight Alliance. Zhang Jinhua, executive vice chairman and secretary general of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China, Li Shun, deputy head of the Yuelu District People's Government of Changsha City, Zhang Hongye, general manager of China Auto Parts Industry Co., Ltd., and Cao Jiajia, vice president of Hunan University, delivered speeches successively.
The main venue invited Academician Mao Xinping, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Baowu Central Research Institute, Sun Fengchun, former Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology and Member of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers, General Manager of China Automobile (Beijing) Automotive Lightweight Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., Experts such as Lin Yi, a member of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers, Min Xinhe, deputy general manager of China Auto Parts Industry Corporation, and other experts, respectively made "Research and Development Status of Green Low-cost Hot-Rolled Auto Steel Plates" and "Several Key Technologies and Problems in New Energy Vehicle System Engineering" "Interpretation of my country's strategic planning related to the development of lightweight automobiles", "Testing technology boosts automotive lightweight engineering" and other special reports.
The conference also set up 9 sub-venues for automotive steel, aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy, non-metallic materials, connection technology, lightweight design, commercial vehicle lightweight, graduate forum, lightweight cutting-edge technology, lightweight mold and equipment. More than 150 well-known domestic experts were invited to make technical reports.
After the "Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan" led by the University of Hong Kong jointly developed a "super steel" (D&P steel) with a yield strength of 2.2GPa and an elongation of 16%, it was published in Science. The Lightweight Alliance actively seized the hot spots in the industry and specially invited scientists such as Huang Mingxin from the University of Hong Kong and Luo Haiwen from the University of Science and Technology Beijing to give a special report on "Super Steel". The discussion was relatively strong and was well received by the participants.
